Pan Gu Shengong cured my rheumatoid arthritis

― written by Yang Yuxia on March 24th, 2006

My name is Yang Yuxia, and I am fifty years old this year.

In the first six months of 1991, throughout my whole body the joints had migrating pains and they were red and swollen as well.  At that time doctors treated my case assumed as ordinary arthritis; nevertheless, I was in pains more frequently than before.  On December 28th of 1992, I went to Zhongshan Medical University affiliated No. 1 Hospital and had an examination of rheumatoid arthritis.  The examination result was “Have a positive agglomerative reaction with rheumatoid emulsion.”  The doctor told me that what I had was rheumatoid arthritis (I had my medical record and clinical chemistry report).  From that day on, I started my long and painful journey to look for doctors and medications.  I saw both Western and Chinese doctors, and I never stop taking Western or Chinese medicine.  In addition, I also received bee sting treatment, blind massage and cupping.  The most painful one was bee sting treatment, which holding bees to sting on the painful joints.  In the very beginning, the treatment required forty bees each day to sting on those joints.  However, since all joints of my body were aching, later on the treatment required one hundred bees in a day as necessary.  Because the bees’ toxicity was in effect, my whole body swelled up like a big balloon.  During the hot summer days, I covered myself with three quilts with cotton wadding, yet I still shivered with cold.  What I suffered the most was the massage and cupping from a blind therapist.  The blind therapist massaged on my infected joints and then performed cupping, which made my joints even more painful.  At that time I was eager to seek treatments and I didn’t think so much at all; as long as I heard about good treatments from others, I tried them right away.

Despite that I saw many doctors, ate a lot of medicine, and additionally received so many treatments, my condition didn’t get better but became worse.  All the joints of my body became deformed, and therefore I couldn’t take care of my own daily life.  At that time I felt very stressful.  I was so young, but I got this incurable disease and was tortured by the disease all day and all night; I became one big burden of my family.  I felt there was little meaning to live any longer, I preferred to die, and I had thought about suicide.

When I lost confidence with my life, on April 23rd of 1998, through the introduction by Zhen Ziliang and Peng Yantao, I got to know Master Ou and started practicing Pan Gu Shengong.  Within the first half year since I didn’t study Master Ou’s books very well, I haven’t had sufficient understanding towards this Qigong technique and its principle.  I still took seeing doctors and having medicines as primary and took practicing Pan Gu Shengong as secondary; therefore, my result from practicing the Qigong was not obvious.  On August 12th of 1998, I was admitted to Nanfang Hospital.  My primary director was Dr. Chen Baotian and my chief doctors were Dr. Mo Sunlian and Dr. Liu Mousheng.  At that time I received both Western and Chinese medical treatments combining with chemotherapy (I had my medical record and clinical chemistry report).  After staying at the hospital and receiving these treatments for forty-one days, the swelling and the pains reduced; however, the side effects of the medicines were so big that I vomited, lost my hairs, etc.  My body became even weaker; therefore, I required discharging from the hospital.

Even so, the experience of staying at the hospital and receiving those treatments provided me a very good opportunity to reflect on all the treatments I tried, which allowed me to truly realize that relying on modern medical science couldn’t cure my disease and the only method could save me was Pan Gu Shengong.  Once my mind was open up, I began to read Master Ou’s book earnestly.  I diligently practiced Pan Gu Shengong and I strongly felt the energy.  My pains apparently reduced.  At that time I thought that since I clearly knew taking medicines was useless but practicing the Qigong was effective, why didn’t I stop taking medicine but just practice the Qigong?  I shared my thought with my family members and my friends.  They all strongly opposed my idea as they thought that rheumatoid arthritis could be controlled mainly by taking hormone and painkiller.  If I didn’t take medicines, could I bear the pains?  When I shared this idea with Zhen Ziliang, he asked me to bravely try it out.  He said that if not trying it out, how I could know the result.  He also reminded me that I needed to do the practice more frequently and spend more time in reading Master Ou’s books so as to deeply comprehend the essences in the books; as long as I walked through this difficult path like a single-plank bridge, the path of sunshine would be in front of me.

After getting Zhen Ziliang’s advice, all of the sudden I came to see the truth and had more confidence.  From November 1st of 1998, I stopped taking all the medicines.  The half month without taking any medicine was indeed a crucial challenge for me.  All joints of my body were as painful as being cut by a knife; I lied on my bed without being able to do any movement at all.  What I only could do was to constantly practice the non-moving form of Pan Gu Shengong, to listen to Master Ou’s lecture tapes, and to continuously recite “the heaven, the earth, and the humanity in harmony”.  At that moment in my heart I truly believed that the positive energy from the heaven and the earth and the essences of the sun and the moon are surely better than hormone and painkiller; Pan Gu Shengong must be able to save me.  Half month later, the miracle happened to me: my pains gradually reduced and I could walk slowly by leaning on the edge of my bed.  Thereby I paid more effort in doing the practice and reading Master Ou’s books.  Through reading Master Ou’s books, I understood many theories about how to be a person and I learned what love is and how to give love.  At first, bit by bit I learned to work on some household chores as my ability allowed.  As I have been sick for such a long time, what my husband and my son gave me were too much.  And, because I suffered from rheumatoid arthritis, I then experienced my husband and my son’s love.  My mindset at that time was very calm and pleasant.  I no longer took the medicines which I had have been taking for about ten years, and my legs not being able to walk in the past could slowly move.  That was a kind of relief for a patient.  I deeply understood that was an opportunity of new life which Pan Gu gave me.  From then on I engraved Master Ou’s teaching and worked on the five-practice (doing PGSG daily, studying PGSG theory, healing others using PGSG, guiding people to learn PGSG, following the password in being more kind and benevolent ).  Consequently, the result from practicing Pan Gu Shengong was getting better and better.  My ten fingers which had changed to the shape like an eagle’s claws gradually straightened, and my both legs which couldn’t walk gradually could move.  All these changes happened to me without being aware of.

I remembered the kind of joy and excitement for the first time I went travel after I recovered from my disease.  So far it was still vivid in my mind.  In July 1999, my company organized a trip to Mt. Jinggang for the community party members.  I wanted to go, but I worried that my body couldn’t support because at that time my body was recovering.  The trip to Mt. Jinggang would have lots of hiking and walking.  If I couldn’t manage them well, I might slip and fall.  That day when I returned home from work, I opened The Path of Life as usual.  When I faced Master Ou’s picture, I told him this matter (I had formed a habit that every night before I read The Path of Life, I faced Master Ou’s picture and talked with him quietly.  I told him my work and my life of the day.  When I was happy, I would share with him.  When I had trouble, I told him.  I felt so great.).  At that time I seemed to see Master Ou was smiling to me, and I was truly thrilled.  My feeling told me that I could go travel.  On the day when we set off, I brought The Path of Life and Master Ou’s name card with me.  I had a great time in the entire trip which wasn’t affected by my health problem.  On the contrary, as I traveled to more places, I felt better and my body became more relaxed.

After I returned from the trip, I secretly made up my mind to make up the tours visiting the places where I couldn’t conduct tours to (I worked in tour industry.) because of my illness.  From the second six months of 1999 to now, I have conducted tours to Xining, Yinchuan, Xian, Yanan, Shanxi, Neimeng, Beijing, Huadong, Jiangzhe, Huangshan, Anhui, Dalian, Shandongbandao, Shenyang, Changbai Shan, Haerbin, Dandong, Korea, Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Yunnan, Xiamen, Jiangxi, Guilin, Jiuzhai, Hong Kong, Aomen, etc.  (For places I visited I took pictures.  Some of the pictures had dates while others didn’t have dates.)

Among these tours I conducted, I felt very special with two of them, which were at the same time the most challenging to my health as well.

I organized a tour to Yellow Mountain on March 2002.  At that time we took a cable car up to half way from the top of the mountain, and then we walked up to the top of the mountain and arrived at the hotel we stayed at.  From where we got off the cable car to the hotel we stayed at, we needed to walk two hours on mountain trails.  A moment ago it had snowed.  There was still some ice on the trails, which became very slippery.  Some people fell down after walking just a few steps.  However, I didn’t fall.  At that time I kept reciting the password of Pan Gu Shengong in my heart, and I recalled that Master Ou brought his family and his students to Yellow Mountain in 1990 and they saw the miraculous scenery in Shixin peak.  I walked with light and quick steps and I didn’t feel tired at all.  In the second day there were a few tour members who took the cable car down the mountain.  The rest of the group and me walked down the mountain, and we spent only four hours.  During both processes of climbing up the mountain and going down the mountain, I constantly felt there was a type of force helping me.

At the end of December in 2005, I organized a tour to Changbai Mountain.  At that time it just had a big snow in the mountain as well, where the snow had about one meter in depth and the temperature was 20 degree below Celsius.  Rheumatoid arthritis patients were afraid of cold temperature the most.  To test whether I could sustain cold weather, I had accepted the task to conduct the tour to Changbai Mountain resolutely.  Since the whole group of tourists was young people, we didn’t take the snowmobile but we walked up to Tianchi.  When I arrived at Tianchi, I heard that the birds were singing and welcoming me, and I was especially excited.  This trip to the Northeast China proved that my body could sustain cold weather, and I was truly very happy.  In the mean while I experienced the love given by Pan Gu, my kindest father and teacher.

As a rheumatoid arthritis patient, during these eight years, I didn’t even spend one cent paying for the medicine; on the contrary, I could normally go to work and often conduct tours to various places.  Who could believe that this was a truth?  Nevertheless, this is indeed a truth.  I hope that this truth can guide more people to join the big warm and harmonic family of Pan Gu Shengong and let more people walk on the healthy and happy path.
