Tempering for the Beautiful Eternal Future World

1.  Suffering from disease and pressure from work

My suffering from diseases began in my childhood.  When I was eleven years old, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.  Since then, the condition appeared on a periodic basis.  Whenever I would be afflicted, I had to receive penicillin injections.  As a result, my body became very fragile and I would often come down with colds, nasal congestion, and pharyngitis.  In 1987, the condition reappeared and this time was very serious, causing tuberculosis and other diseases that my doctor was not able to diagnose.  I was suffering both from disease and from the side effects of medications.  My memory declined, my spirit went way down, and the life force in my body became weak.  Living in this kind of chaotic condition, fear and hopelessness began to take over my mind.  I felt unable to recover and that soon I would die.  I was having a profound experience involving suffering from disease, yet there was nothing I could do.

In 1988 I began a job, I had to work ten-hour shifts daily, and my health was very poor.  The fear of dying never disappeared from my mind.  I began to blame myself for my unfortunate life.

The Path of Life and Pan Gu Mystical Qigong gave me new life

In 1991, I had the opportunity to read Mr. Ou Wen Wei’s book The Path of Life, and a year later I met the author himself and learned Pan Gu Mystical Qigong, which he had created.

In May 1992, due to my fragile physical condition and the noise pollution where I lived, I easily became jumpy and afraid.  When I was walking on a street and saw a car coming, I thought the car would hit me.  One night early in 1993 I recited the qigong “passwords” before going to sleep.  That night I had a dream.  I saw Mr. Ou autographing my copy of The Path of Life.  When I got up the next morning, I felt very comfortable, and when I rode my bicycle to work, I discovered I didn’t have the feeling of fear anymore.  I became very calm and I realized for the first time that this world is actually a very beautiful place.  After going to my office and sitting down, I could hear a voice as if coming from the inner darkness of the universe.  It was Pan Gu addressing with his deep voice the people of the entire world.  “People!” he said.  “You still need tempering!”  At that very moment my eyes were wet with tears.  I appreciated very much the power of Pan Gu and the kindness of Mr. Ou.

Slowly the condition of my fragile body improved.  I wouldn’t get sick as often as I used to.  Now, when I do get sick, rather than taking any medication I practice Pan Gu Mystical Qigong more often.  My memory and reflexes are much better than before.  I feel I have a new body with a lot of energy.  My face looks younger.  The rheumatoid arthritis condition has not recurred for several years, and the pharyngitis only once.  All these improvements have caused a huge positive impact on my life and work.  I have great confidence for the future.  Only now have I come to realize what the feeling of good health should be.

From my personal experience I fully understand the curative ability of Pan Gu Mystical Qigong—especially so in the case of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).  When I have PMS, I practice Pan Gu Mystical Qigong once or twice and the discomfort is reduced by 80 percent; sometimes the discomfort completely disappears before I even finish the session.

In the practice of sending energy to help heal people, I have had some disappointing experiences.  Once, I sent energy to heal someone who had a fever.  After I sent the energy and massaged the patient’s head and back, the patient’s body temperature quickly lowered.  After a very short time, however, this person’s fever returned.  Learning from this experience, I cautioned myself that whenever I help people recover from discomfort, I should not claim any credit for my work nor take satisfaction, and I also understand that it is not my power that heals the patient but Pan Gu’s.  I have to evaluate my experiences in order to improve my ability to heal others.

My healthier body is the result of practicing Pan Gu Mystical Qigong, of following Mr. Ou’s instruction and guidance, and of reading The Path of Life.  Through reading Mr. Ou’s writings and listening to his lectures, I have come to understand what is qigong, the reason that a person gets sick, the essence of Pan Gu Mystical Qigong, the relationship between human beings and nature, how a person can truly achieve good health, and what a practitioner needs to do in order to have better results from qigong practice.  In addition to the mysterious information about the universe that I have obtained from reading his books and listening to his profound lectures on various topics, another result is that my performance at work is better.  I am a happier and healthier person with a meaningful life.

Through my contact with The Path of Life and the principle of “Take kindness and benevolence as basis; take frankness and friendliness to heart” contained in the book, I have finally realized that I have to behave and conduct myself based on this philosophy.  Pan Gu tells us in the book that 90 percent of everyone’s life is already determined by him and 10 percent is up to each individual to attain in his/her lifetime and that this 10 percent is the most important because it justifies whether one is able to enter the beautiful future world, based on self-tempering.  To be good or to be evil is the choice everyone has who is living in this world, regardless of social class.  In order to enter the beautiful future world, one must go through an agonizing process of self-tempering of the heart and soul.  I have finally understood to treat all my sufferings from diseases and the pressure from work as my self-tempering; no longer do I blame myself, rather I am bravely meeting the challenge head-on.

I have decided to try to do the best I can with this 10 percent.  I am continuing to work on my weaknesses and elevate my understanding so as to change my approach toward work and life.  When working with people and dealing with issues, I follow the principles set forth by Pan Gu: “Speak with reason, treat with courtesy; act with emotion, accomplish result.”  Whenever I encounter any problem in work or in daily life, I know that I need to calm myself and be patient in order to analyze issues objectively and completely and come up with the best solution for all parties.  When it comes to other people’s weaknesses or mistakes, I tell myself that I have to offer people more love and less hate.  My mind needs to be more open and less narrow; I have to be more receptive to people’s opinions and learn not to pay attention to other people’s weaknesses or to emphasize their mistakes.  At the same time, I need to improve myself with each experience and guard against making the same mistakes.  I need to learn from people’s good qualities and learn how to be open-minded and to suppress my negative qualities.  I should contribute more love.  Through my efforts, my understanding reaches a higher level.  I believe I am more open-minded now.  My adaptability has improved and my will grows stronger daily.  My ability in dealing with people is better.  The discomforts in my body rarely happen now.  Obviously, I am happier and more relaxed in life.  I feel my luck is changing.  My goal is to be on the path of a healthy body, a kind and benevolent heart, and an open mind.

Pan Gu told us the qualification for everyone to enter the beautiful eternal future world is to go through agonizing self-tempering in order to purify the soul.  Does it not matter what one is thinking?  Or what one is doing?  This qualification is based on the principle of not harming the other’s benefit.  It is not based on other people’s suffering.  If we want to be the first generation of people to enter the beautiful eternal future world, we must seize the opportunity now.  We must spend time in tempering ourselves by purifying our souls and elevating our understanding.  As an old saying goes, “When the water gets here, the vessel is ready.”  I deeply believe that the people of this world will be able to attain the undertaking as set forth in Pan Gu’s great plan.  The beautiful eternal future world will appear.

3.  Conclusion

Living in this world of six billion people, we are able to read The Path of Life, learn and practice Pan Gu Mystical Qigong and receive mysterious, formerly secret information about the universe from Pan Gu.  We are very fortunate.  I feel all this is according to Pan Gu’s arrangement.  We carry with us many responsibilities and hopes.  We should not take Pan Gu’s and Mr. Ou’s trust in vain.  In order to share the unique physical and spiritual Pan Gu Mystical Qigong practice with more people, we have to work extra hard to improve ourselves so we can assist others.
